Madison Reynen
Independent Birth Doula
Hi, I’m Madison Reynen! I live in Norton Shores with my husband, Kyle, our two kiddos, Stanley and Mabel, and our dog Ellie. We enjoy nightly dance parties, trips to the beach, and reading all the books.
My journey into birth work started in Fremont, Michigan during the fall of 2017, where I worked with pregnant mothers and fell in love with everything pregnancy and birth related. After learning about doulas and hiring one for my first pregnancy and birth, I knew I’d found a future career my heart truly loved.
However, it wasn’t until after a traumatic birth experience, a bout of postpartum psychosis that landed me in a wonderful mommy baby outpatient program, and the later birth of my second child, that I fully embraced my calling as a doula. In the summer of 2024, I completed my doula training with DONA International, officially beginning my professional journey in birth work.
I am passionate about helping women feel confident and empowered in their birth experiences. I believe that with the right support, resources, and knowledge, everyone can look back at their birth fondly, no matter how quickly birth plans may go out the window.
Those who know me often describe me as down-to-earth, winsome, and easy to talk to. I’m deeply passionate about my work and genuinely care for the families I support. With experience educating and supporting pregnant people in low-income and underserved communities, I have a heart for helping all people feel equipped and empowered for their personal birth journey.
As a mother, I understand the vulnerability that comes with pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. The overwhelming flood of opinions and conflicting information can easily steal the joy of the experience. I’m here to offer compassionate support, clarity, and helpful information tailored to each family’s unique needs and wishes."
