About Maria

Hi! I’m Maria Jimenez, a graduate student intern from Western Michigan University. I am studying social work with a focus on clinical social work, and I hope to have my own therapy practice in the future. As a result of my own experiences, I am passionate about working with parents at all stages, from pregnancy through the postpartum period. I understand how important support and knowledge are when going through one of the biggest life events one can go through, and I hope to be that while working with Eastown Birth Partners.

I’m married and I have three children (13, 10, 6). We live in the small town of Belding. I enjoy time with family, especially in nature, or sitting at home watching Netflix (Love is Blind, anyone?). I am so excited for this new chapter in my life and I can’t wait to learn so many new things from this internship.
